Global Containers Line, LLC

At Global Containers Line, LLC, we believe that a well-informed customer is a satisfied customer. Below are the most common questions regarding our shipping containers, delivery logistics, and payment security.

1. Product & Condition

  • What is the difference between “One-Trip” and “Used” containers?
    • One-Trip (New): These units were manufactured overseas and shipped to the U.S. with a single cargo load. They are in pristine condition with minimal cosmetic wear.
    • Used (WWT): These are “Wind and Water Tight” units that have been retired from international shipping (usually 10-15 years old). They will show surface rust and dings but are structurally sound and weather-sealed.
  • Can I choose the color of my container?
    • Used containers come in the original shipping line colors (typically red, blue, or green) and are sold “as-is” regarding color. For specific color requirements, we recommend our “One-Trip” units or painting the unit after delivery.
  • Are your containers inspected?
    • Yes. Every unit is inspected at our specialized intermodal depots before being cleared for dispatch to ensure it meets our “Wind and Water Tight” (WWT) structural standards.

2. Shipping & Delivery

  • How much is shipping?
    • We offer a $300 flat-rate nationwide shipping fee per unit to the contiguous United States. This price is fixed and will be clearly displayed at checkout.
  • How long does delivery take?
    • Our total estimated delivery time is 4 – 10 business days. This includes 1–3 days for depot handling and 3–7 days for transit.
  • What are the site requirements for delivery?
    • You must provide a firm, level surface (gravel, concrete, or asphalt). Our tilt-bed trucks require 100 feet of straight-line clearance for 40ft units and 60 feet for 20ft units.
  • Will the driver call me before delivery?
    • Yes. Our logistics team or the carrier will contact you at least 24 hours in advance to coordinate your delivery window.

3. Payments & Security

  • Is my payment secure?
    • Absolutely. Our website uses 128-bit SSL encryption and is fully PCI DSS compliant. We never store your full credit card information on our servers.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
    • We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) and PayPal.

4. Returns & Refunds

  • What is your return policy?
    • We accept return requests within 30 days of delivery. Because containers are heavy industrial equipment, the customer is responsible for return freight costs, and a 20% restocking fee applies to non-defective returns.
  • What if my container arrives damaged?
    • If a unit is not “Wind and Water Tight” upon delivery and this is noted on the Bill of Lading (BOL), we will replace the unit or issue a full refund at no cost to you.
