At Global Containers Line, LLC, we specialize in the logistical coordination and delivery of heavy-duty intermodal shipping containers. To ensure a seamless experience, we have standardized our nationwide shipping protocols to be transparent, efficient, and reliable.
1. Shipping Rates & Service Area
Standard Nationwide Shipping: We offer a $300 Flat Rate per unit for deliveries within the contiguous United States.
Service Scope: We deliver to all 48 contiguous states.
Remote Locations: For islands, restricted-access mountain regions, or locations requiring ferry transport, please contact our logistics desk for a custom surcharge quote prior to purchase.
2. Fulfillment & Delivery Timeline
We operate on a transparent “Handling + Transit” model to provide accurate delivery estimates.
Order Cut-Off Time: 2:00 PM (EST), Monday – Saturday.
Handling Time: 1 – 3 Business Days (Monday – Saturday). This period covers unit selection at the depot, comprehensive 7-point quality inspection, and carrier scheduling.
Transit Time: 3 – 7 Business Days (Monday – Saturday). This is the duration from the moment the truck leaves our intermodal facility to its arrival at your site.
Estimated Total Delivery: 4 – 10 Business Days.
3. Specialized Delivery Methods
Our fleet utilizes specialized equipment to handle the unique weight and size of shipping containers.
A. Tilt-Bed (Roll-Off) Delivery
This is our standard and most common delivery method. The trailer tilts and the container slides off the back as the truck moves forward.
Space Required: 100ft of straight-line clearance for a 40ft container; 60ft for a 20ft container.
Surface: Must be firm enough to support a 40,000lb+ loaded vehicle.
B. Flatbed Delivery
Ideal for projects with on-site heavy machinery.
Customer Responsibility: You must provide a crane or high-capacity forklift (8,000lb+ capacity for 20ft; 12,000lb+ for 40ft) to offload the container from the trailer.
4. Site Preparation & Access Requirements
To prevent delivery failures or additional “dry run” fees, please ensure your site meets the following criteria:
Vertical Clearance: A minimum of 16ft of overhead clearance is required at the drop site (free of tree branches, power lines, and building eaves).
Horizontal Clearance: A minimum of 12ft of width is required for the truck and trailer to navigate driveways or gates.
Ground Conditions: Containers must be placed on level, stable ground. Suitable surfaces include concrete, asphalt, compacted gravel, or stabilized soil. We do not recommend placement on soft grass or sand, as this can cause the unit to sink and lead to door misalignment.
5. Communication & Tracking
Dispatch Notification: You will receive an email confirmation once your container has been picked up from the depot.
Appointment Call: Our carrier will contact you via the phone number provided at checkout 24–48 hours prior to delivery to coordinate a specific arrival window.
On-Site Requirement: An authorized adult must be present at the time of delivery to sign the Bill of Lading (BOL) and direct the driver on placement.
6. Delivery Damages & Issues
Upon arrival, please inspect your container before the driver leaves. In the rare event of damage during transit:
Note the specific issues on the Bill of Lading (BOL).
Take clear photographs of the damage.
